C.H. Harley Lodge consecrated in 1920 as No 79 in the Grand Lodge of Queensland and became No 281 United Grand Lodge of
Queensland in April 1921.
The Lodge was named after Charles Henry Harley
, who was the first Grand Secretary of the United
Grand Lodge of Queensland. He had previously been the Provincial Grand Secretary of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Queensland, Irish Constitution, and then, from 1904, Grand Secretary of the Grand Lodge of Queensland
until 1921.
C.H. Harley Lodge is unique, in that the Grand Secretary who signed our warrant was C.H. Harley, himself.
C.H. Harley Lodge is one of the 93 Hallstone Lodges, and our Worshipful Master has the honour of wearing the Hallstone Jewel at all Lodge meetings & festive boards.
